Technical Expertise:
Molecular Biology:
Isolation of genomic/ plasmid DNA, Restriction digestion, Protein isolation, Western Blotting, Agarose & PAGE electrophoresis, cloning, Silver Staining, Southern blotting, Real-time PCR, IPCR, and cloning.
Transformation:
Agrobacterium-mediated transformation into rice callus, floral dip into Arabidopsis and Chlorella vulgaris, electroporation, particle bombardment and PEG method transformations in to Chlorella vulgaris.
Plant Tissue Culture:
Agrobacterium-mediated transformation of many TF genes in rice callus, floral dip method, sub-culturing, regeneration of rice callus (Indica cultivar IR-64, CSR-10, PB-1, and Japonica cultivar Dongjin, kittake).
Plant Physiology:
Determination of Physiological parameters (Chlorophyll content, proline content, electrolyte leakage, Na/K ratio, etc.) in transgenic lines as well as mutant lines of rice. Cold, drought and salt stress analysis at seedling stage and at a mature stage, agronomical trait analysis, seeds germination test etc.
